• Bridge Pickup Selection.  We offer four bridge pickup selection options:  The Seymour Duncan SSL-1, Seymour Duncan SSL-5, Fender Custom Shop Fat '50 Bridge Pickup or the Fender Custom Shop Custom '69. 
• Bridge Pickup Tone Control.  Normally you do not have a tone control for your bridge pickup with standard wiring but with this option selected the Middle pickup tone control now will work for both the Bridge and Middle pickups.
• Tone Capacitor Value Selection.  The modern value of 0.022 uF rolls off less treble as you increase the tone control, the Black Strat style of 0.047 uF rolls off more treble quicker as you increase the tone control.  We also offer a 0.033 uF and a 0.01 uF.
• Body Ground Connection.  Most American Strat bodies have a ground connection inside the control cavity with a small wood screw attachment.  If yours has this then select "Yes" to this option, if not then select "No".  We will provide the extra ground wire for this connection if yours has this.
• Treble By-Pass Filter.  This filter reduces the amount of treble that gets lost when you turn down the volume control on your guitar.  If you select No for this option we will still include it in your order it just won't be installed. 
• Pickguard.   We offer the standard 11 hole or the vintage 8 hole '57 style pickguard mounting.  Our pickguards are custom manufactured out of 0.120" thick black acrylic for that true authentic Gilmour style.
• Bridge Pickup Cover.  If you select a Seymour Duncan pickup in your bridge position you have the option of having a "Seymour Duncan" logo'ed white pickup cover installed or a standard White or Aged White Fender pickup cover installed. You will select this in the Bridge Pickup selection drop down menu to the left.

• The Seymour Duncan SSL-1 Vintage Staggered Pickup is an exact replica of the original Alnico V Stratocaster guitar pickups.  The same type of magnet wire is used, as well as the same number of coil windings.  The staggered rod magnets are hand ground, then aged by the exclusive Dun-Aged process.  Lacquered bobbins and cloth braid hookup wire complete the vintage look.  Every detail is included to duplicate the bell-like tone and the high-end bite that made the vintage Strat pickups famous.  The SSL-1 pickup does not come with a pickup cover as supplied from Seymour Duncan so we install a white or aged white cover.  The SSL-1 is perfect for that vintage Gilmour tone.
• The Seymour Duncan SSL-5 Staggered Pickup is the Seymourized version of the SSL-1 pickup.  It has distinct vintage tone combined with a stronger magnetic field and custom coil for higher output, more sustain, and great harmonics.  The SSL-5 pickup comes with a Seymour Duncan logo'ed pickup cover, we remove this cover and install a standard white Fender cover.  If  you wish for your SSL-5 pickup to retain the logo'ed cover simply mention this in the comments section during checkout.  The SSL-5 is perfect for a more hot rodded Gilmour tone.  A bit more warm and dark characteristic.
• Fender Custom Shop '69 Pickups offer you a unique construction and vibe.  These are the guitar pickups that can deliver the coveted clear, transparent highs, thumping lows, and bleeding midrange response and feel that define electric guitar tone as we know it.  These Fender pickups are built using height staggered Alnico V magnets and a special gray bobbin.  Each pickup is checked, dated, and initialed by none other than Fender Custom Shop master pickup building legend, Abigail Ybarra, who has been winding pickups for Fender since the late 1950s.
• Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s Pickups are calibrated pickups constructed with hand-beveled, staggered Alnico V magnets and Formvar magnet wire.  The Fat '50s Strat Pickups deliver enhanced bass response without the harsh midrange.  The middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum canceling in positions 2 and 4.  OEM on Custom Shop Fender Showmaster series Stratocaster guitars.

With our assembly you will receive a completely loaded fully customized 0.120" Acrylic pickguard (unless you select one of the vinyl pickguards) and electronics assembly with the authentic Fender Custom Shop and Seymour Duncan pickups of your choosing with everything installed, wired and soldered in place, ready to drop in your guitar body by simply connecting the audio and ground leads.  The pickup covers, volume knob, tone knobs, 5-way switch tip, vintage tremolo cover (back plate) and tremolo arm tip are white.  We even include the custom stainless steel Super Short 4-1/4" Black Strat style tremolo arm along with all 19 mounting screws for the pickguard, tremolo cover and output jack, a set of GHS Boomers David Gilmour Signature Series Strings (blue set), a Fender vintage style 1 ply white tremolo cover and a Switchcraft 1/4" mono output jack.

Some of the significant features of this assembly is the recessed mini toggle switch, the unique selections of custom shop pickups and the pure black 1 ply pickguard.  The recessed mini toggle switch modification is a unique feature that is synonymous with the Black Strat.  We don't glue ours to the back side of the pickguard with a piece of plastic or sheet metal, we use a sturdy piece of custom formed stainless steel that is strong and and by design easily mountable underneath the volume and tone potentiometers with no attachment modifications to the pickguard required.  It does not become a permanent piece of the pickguard, but when it's installed it becomes an integral and secure part of it.

This assembly is for those that already have a working knowledge of how a Strat is assembled and wired, no instructions will be provided, it is fairly simple to install with no more than 4 wires to connect.  There will be two or three BLACK ground wires (three ground wires if you choose a body ground and two if you did not) and one RED wire (audio lead), THAT'S IT for connections.  One of the black ground wires connects to the tremolo claw, one to the 1/4" output jack ground connection and if you selected a body ground the third black wire connects to the wood screw inside the control cavity on the inside/topside the body.  The RED wire is the audio lead that connects to the 1/4" output jack tip connection and you should be able to recognize this by where it originates on the volume potentiometer.  Actually there is no need for instructions if you know what you're doing...  But if you have never worked on a guitar before maybe you better leave this installation to your guitar tech.  The individual pickup heights will need your final adjustment to take into account your string height, action and playing style.  It's basically a "drop-in" assembly that shouldn't take you no longer than 1/2 hour to install.

All pickguard assemblies are fully tested before leaving our facility.  If you are having problems with your pickguard assembly after you have installed it then it is something that you've done in the installation process.  No pickguard leaves our facility without operating 100% correctly.
