In use
throughout the late 40's, the B-15 was one of the first synthetic fabric
flight jackets. With a mouton fur collar, the B-15 was designated for use
in Cold Weather Climates (20 Degrees F). Other features included 100% wool
knit waistband and cuffs, a tap that the oxygen mask was clipped to, tabs
to hold headset wires and the original U.S. Air Force decal.
True
to the details of the original, Alpha Industries has carefully recreated
this flying classic. This water-repellent B-15 Flight Jacket with a synthetic
mouton collar is one of the authentic reproductions in Alpha Industries
Vintage Series.
For
over 30 years the U.S. Military has relied on the quality and rugged functionality
of flight jackets and extreme cold weather outerwear from Alpha Industries
Inc. of Knoxville, Tennessee. Now you can put that same "over construction"
to your advantage.
